In support of Egyptian sports and in recognition of national achievements, Dr. El Saied Kamel, CEO of Utopia Pharma, member of the Board of the Chamber of the Pharmaceutical Industry, and Head of the Pharmaceuticals Division, honored Sharkia Hockey Team during a ceremony held at Utopia’s factory in 10th of Ramadan City, following the team’s return from its continental participation.
The recognition comes after Sharkia Hockey Team secured the silver medal at the 36th Africa Hockey Cup, held in Zimbabwe from 24 to 31 January 2026.
Sharkia Hockey Club is considered one of the most successful teams in the history of the sport, holding a Guinness World Record as the most decorated African hockey team with 28 continental titles.
The club has also been awarded the First-Class Order of the Republic twice and is regarded as one of the most prominent sporting icons in Sharkia Governorate.
At the national level, the team has won the Egyptian League 24 times and the Egypt Cup 8 times, building a remarkable legacy of achievements.
