Therapeutic indications:
. Along with diet and exercise to lower blood sugar (glucose) in adults with type 2 diabetes 
· In adults with type 2 diabetes who have known cardiovascular disease, when empagliflozin, one of the medicines in DOWNBETES TRIO, is needed to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death.
