Utopia Pharma Welcomes High-Level Delegation from Rwanda FDA to Strengthen Pharmaceutical Cooperation Between Egypt and Rwanda
Utopia Pharma welcomed a high-level delegation from the Republic of Rwanda headed by *Prof. Emile Bienvenu, Director General of the Rwanda Food and Drugs Authority (Rwanda FDA), accompanied by **H.E. Ambassador Dan Munyuza, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the Arab Republic of Egypt*, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen pharmaceutical cooperation and expand strategic partnerships between Egypt and African countries.
The delegation was received by *Dr. Saied Kamel, Chairman of Utopia Pharma*, and was accompanied during the visit by representatives from the Egyptian Drug Authority and the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in Cairo, including:
* Mr. Mahmoud El-Tayeb – Chief of Protocol, Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in Cairo.
* Dr. Adham Saber – Member of the General Administration of Public Relations and International Cooperation, Egyptian Drug Authority.
* Dr. Radwa Hussein Sayed – Pharmaceutical Products Follow-up Team Leader, National and Strategic Projects Support Unit, Investment Support and Local Manufacturing Localization Administration, Egyptian Drug Authority.
* Dr. Ibrahim Salah El-Din – Data Analytics Unit, Investment Support and Local Manufacturing Localization Administration, Egyptian Drug Authority.
* Dr. Ahmed Gadallah Mahfouz – Head of the Veterinary Pharmaceutical Inspection Unit and Inspection Team Leader, Egyptian Drug Authority.
During the visit, the delegation toured Utopia Pharma’s manufacturing facilities, reviewing the company’s advanced production lines, quality management systems, and pharmaceutical manufacturing standards implemented in accordance with international best practices. The delegation was also introduced to Utopia’s manufacturing capabilities and its strategic expansion plans across African markets.
The delegation praised the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing infrastructure, robust quality systems, and high-quality pharmaceutical products, emphasizing their potential contribution to addressing healthcare needs in Rwanda and supporting access to essential medicines.
